Wolfgang Oehry, born 1948, is originally from the Principality of Liechtenstein. However, he grew up mainly in Switzerland and France. While pursuing a successful musical career in Europe, Wolfgang also produced many oil paintings and pencil drawings, many of which were lost in a flooding in 1983. After that, the artist quit painting all together until 2003, when he accomplished the old man "Ernest".

Wolfgang Oehry joined the Naples Art Society in 2006 and participated successfully in two juried exhibitions, "Emotions on the Surface" and the "Founders Juried Awards Exhibition" at The von Liebig Art Center.

For the "Emotions on the Surface" exhibition, both of his entries, "Helen" and "Armenian Bride" were selected by Donald Miller, renowned art critic and book author.

The intense painting, "The Loss" (left) was selected as one of only 170 from over 500 entries for the "Founders Juried Awards Exhibition" in Naples, Florida.

The background Music is also composed and performed by the artist.
